The Word Bitch

Although others may take offense at the word, I don’t. It’s because I know that when someone becomes intimidated by my drive, my presence and the fact that I won’t take any shit, they often fall back on calling me a Bitch. Of course, if I were a man you’d call me an assertive mover and shaker or someone who commands respect. But that’s okay. I’ll take bitch if the only other choice is to be someone who does whatever you want and won’t stand up for herself.

Bitches make their own rules. When the world says you can’t or you shouldn’t, they just laugh and do their own thing. When they want something, they’re unstoppable. They’re fearless. Or at least they can accept the reality of fear and still do what needs to be done. They’re ferocious. They say the things that need to be said, even if it’s not very popular. And while a bitch has the power to cut someone to shreds with her razor sharp tongue, she’ll only go there if you push her. She understands that with great bitch powers comes great responsibility, so she only busts them out when necessary.

As one my favorite bitches once said, “I’ll kick your ass if you make me but I’d rather just love you.” Your choice. So what’s it gonna be?
