Was this a real letter? Goodness gracious. I have a feeling this was written by a teenager or a young adult who still thinks a lot about high school. The advice is great because it does bring up the bigger issue of us women think men should read our minds. “You should know what I need.” And when they don’t we get bitchy (I know I’m using bitch in a not flattering context but bitchy is the best work in this context). Here’s what I say: Speak up, Bitch. And if he still doesn’t understand or care then dump his ass.

Your insight amazes me. For someone who has been married twice, that’s 25 years collectively, I’m obviously at some level a romantic. But then when you get into it, deep, you realize romance is going to take you so far (I’m convinced this is the point people usually go out and have affairs, etc.). Here’s to hard work for something that is so worth it (Hold on, I’m going to get mushy) to be married, committed to my best friend who I love, yes I love him. This is where I need to stop before anymore cliches escape.

Yeh, fiance? Im positive after (almost) 3 children, your cousin is dying for a wedding ring that he’s not giving her. Maybe Im wrong, or maybe her life isnt perfect either…

Brilliant! You’re so right about the grass. Wherever you go, there you are. If the cousin truly has it all, it means she has been working her tail off to make it so. My suggestion is start watering, fertilizing and trimming.
